This third chapter in the American Cancer Society Cancer Control Blueprint describes what we know about risk factors for cancer. It provides strategies people can use to help avoid those risk factors. It also offers strategies that cities, states, and communities can use to help people avoid them. It's co-authored by staff researcher Susan Gapstur, PhD, MPH, senior vice president of Behavioral and Epidemiology Research.
